In the ever-evolving landscape of DeFi, IntentX recognizes the importance of pioneering research and contributing to the collective knowledgebase as a public good. Staying ahead with accurate knowledge and actionable insights is critical, and a rising tide lifts all ships when it comes to access of high quality information.
The Research Program focuses on three core domains: (1) transitioning users from centralized to decentralized finance platforms, (2) dissecting the on-chain perpetual futures market, and (3) exploring the vast potential of intent-based architecture. Each domain aims to deepen our collective understanding, spur innovation, and expand DeFi accessibility in alignment with IntentX project objectives. Introducing the IntentX Research Program, the heart of our commitment to fortifying DeFi's collective knowledge base and driving the adoption of on-chain decentralized finance.
This grant program aims to delve deep into the possibilities of intents with the the objective of contributing to a public, free, and high quality resource and knowledge base.
Note: The IntentX Research Program is an open to all members of the ecosystem who wish to participate in the primary objectives outlined. We encourage members to reach out to discuss qualification and collaboration opportunities.

🔍 Contextualized Data Collection: Prioritize the collection and analysis of data surrounding intent-based architecture and applications, offering insights into market trends, project performance, and other key metrics.
Examples: Dune dashboards, data driven analysis, historical data, projections.
📘 Public Education: Our aim isn't just to uncover insights, but also to share them. Through the creation and promotion of digestible educational content, we wish to build a public library of knowledge and resources for the broader DeFi community.
Examples: Long form writing, research, reports, medium articles.
🤝 Community Collaboration: The DeFi ecosystem thrives on collaborative effort. We encourage cooperation among researchers, developers, data providers, and DeFi enthusiasts to push the boundaries of what's possible.
Examples: Public promotions, organized events, networking.
Research & Development: As the applications of intent based architecture are just starting to be explored, we aim to contribute to new research and development of novel applications. If you are researching or building in the space, we wish to support you in any way we can.
Examples: New product development, novel research material and papers.
The IntentX Research Program aims to spearhead advancements in the DeFi sector, focusing on three primary domains which will be specified. The program is not exclusively restricted to these three, but generally this is the primary foci. Applications for out of scope or edge case topics may be approved on a discrecionary basis.

Broad Topics & Education:
Onboarding the New Generation: A foundational objective is to create resources and educational content that enables the seamless onboarding of the next wave of users onto blockchain networks.
Migration from Centralized Exchanges (CEX) to Decentralized Exchanges (DEX): Conduct in-depth research into the challenges, advantages, and processes involved in migrating users from traditional centralized platforms to decentralized ones.
User Experience & Innovations:
Account Abstraction: A dive into the innovations around account abstraction, which could simplify user experience by hiding complex processes from the end-user.
Enhancements in User Experience: Detailed analysis and proposals to revolutionize the user journey in DeFi, making it more intuitive and user-friendly.
The fast-evolving landscape of on-chain perpetual futures presents a plethora of research opportunities:
Existing Landscape Analysis: A holistic look into the current state of on-chain perpetual futures, including the projects, technologies, and methodologies in operation.
Future Innovations: Identifying gaps in the present ecosystem and predicting future innovations that can revolutionize on-chain perpetual futures.
Data Analytics: Deep dives into data sets to uncover trends, anomalies, and patterns which can offer actionable insights.
Comparative Analysis: Contrasting different models and platforms, such as:
Order Books vs. Automated Market Makers (AMMs) vs. Virtual AMMs (vAMMs)
Aggregators: Their role, impact, and future in the perpetual futures space.

We aim to establish research grants in the domain of intents architecture, ranging from the basics of what an intent is to deep dive research on novel applications.
Grant Funding: Successful proposals will receive funding to support their research endeavors.
Access to a Vibrant Community: Engage with a community of like-minded researchers, developers, ecosystem participants and DeFi experts.
Publication and Recognition: Outstanding research will have the opportunity to be co-published and promoted with IntentX and our partners to gain recognition within the broader DeFi community.
We want to hear from you! This program encompasses a variety of different scopes and can suite contributions in many ways.
Background in DeFi: Whether you’re a data analyst, developer, researcher, or a DeFi enthusiast with a keen interest in the intent-based architecture, we welcome diverse backgrounds. Prior experience in the DeFi sector will be an advantage.
Commitment: A dedication to drive change, bring forth new ideas, and work collaboratively with the community.
Project Proposal: Applicants should have a clear research proposal that aligns with the objectives of the IntentX Research Initiative.
🔹 Step 1: Registration Start by filling out the IntentX Research Program Application Form.
As part of the application form, submit a detailed research proposal. This should include:
Overview of the research topic
The relevance of your topic to program scope and its potential impact on the DeFi community
Proposed methodology
Expected outcomes and deliverables
Timeline
🔹 Step 2: Review Our research panel will review all applications. This process may take up to 2 weeks. We appreciate your patience.
🔹 Step 3: Interview Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a brief virtual call interview. This will be an opportunity to discuss your proposal in depth, address any queries, and understand how we can best collaborate.
🔹 Step 4: Onboarding Successful applicants will be onboarded to the IntentX Research Program. This includes access to our resources, community, network and more.
🔹 Step 5: Publishing When producing deliverables under the grant program, IntentX will help to co-publish and cross promote your material across our network for increased exposure and recognition. Published content will live in a dedicated knowledge resource base comprised of community contributions enabled through this research program.
